TypeScript 6 deprecates moduleResolution "node" (node10) and reports it as an error in the editor; it stops working entirely in TypeScript 7. Node16 is supported by both the pinned TS 5.9 and TS 6, and since package.json has no "type": "module", files stay CommonJS and the existing extensionless and JSON imports resolve unchanged.
